Autonomous, exchangeable battery units allow for continuous 12 hours operation of the terminal. The built-in battery charger and power supply unit makes the PC-9600 fully operational in the range of 9-36V of the vehicle power supply.
The PC-9600 is highly resistant to both mechanical and environmental conditions. It may be used in all weather conditions, as well as a portable hand-held device or as a vehicle mounted unit. The PC-9600 can be used at command vehicles, self propelled howitzers, tanks, MLRS and others.
The PC-9600 is also EMI interferences resistant and its own EMI emission is reduced to the levels allowing it to work in a direct vicinity of radio transmitters/receivers.
The PC-9600, being an universal MS-DOS computer, allows the user to take advantage of millions of code lines written for the PC platform, and abundance of development support tools, compilers, debuggers etc.
The PC-9600 terminal can be ordered together with the application software installed, configuring the unit as a ballistic computer, a radio and cable communication controller for different radios (both analog and digital as PR4G Thomson, R3501 Radmor), etc.
